2023 Memorial Scholarship
It is with great pride that we announce a $500 scholarship. This year’s 2023 scholarship is in memory of former Yuba County Sheriff Gary Tindel. Gary served in Yuba County law enforcement for nearly 30 years. Outside law enforcement, Gary remained connected to his community serving the Kiwanis Club, Little League, the Catholic Church, and Boy Scouts. In his memory, we honor his service and his family’s service through this scholarship opportunity.
Choosing a career in public service involves sacrificing time away from family, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This scholarship is being created to honor the family sacrifice and the proud spirit of these families in law enforcement.
